Malibu von Malente is a beautiful 2-3 year old German Shepherd. Malibu is a lovely girl who has a gentle, calm presence at the rescue. While she may be reserved initially, it doesn't take long to see her sweet and loving nature when she has the opportunity to open up at her own pace, and she does very much appreciate attention and petting.  When a volunteer had her in the office, she initially kept to herself, but then quietly came and leaned against her; then she continued to stay close while observing the goings on around her. She has a mid-level energy, takes treats very gently, and walks beautifully on leash next to you. In playgroups, she is a calm and friendly greeter who is polite around other dogs, mingling well and approaching people for pets.  She did fine on her initial testing with cats. This tender soul is ready to find a loving home where she can lean in close and continue to blossom.
